Today’s dental professionals provide efficient, safe and comfortable care for their patients. Duties include four-handed dentistry, infection control and common laboratory and business procedures as well as possessing good patient management skills.

The Dental Assisting program at WCC:

  • Is accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation.
    • Following completion of this Commission on Dental Accreditation accredited program students are eligible for the following:
      • Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) licensure in Michigan
        (Only graduates of an American Dental Association accredited Dental Assisting program are eligible to take the MI RDA licensing exam)
      • Certified Dental Assistant (CDA) credential through the Dental Assisting National Board (DANB)
      • Expose dental radiographs in the State of Michigan
  • Has a distance-learning program for on-the-job trained dental assistants that extends to the Upper Peninsula
  • Offers affordable tuition and payment options

  • The program offers convenient and easy access for all dental assisting students in Michigan, even in the most remote areas.
