Washtenaw Community College
Program Effectiveness Data
The Radiography Program at Washtenaw Community College is accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT). In compliance with the JRCERT Standards for an Accredited Educational Program in Radiography, the Program’s Effectiveness Data (credentialing examination pass rate, job placement rate, and program completion rate) must be made available to perspective students and the general public. The following are program effectiveness data for the Washtenaw Community College Radiography Program.
Program Completion Rate
The program completion rate is calculated by dividing the number of students who completed the program within 150% of the stated program length by the number of the students initially admitted to the Program. This rate fluctuates based on the number of students who voluntarily withdrew or were dismissed from the program for academic or personal reasons.
|# Students initially admitted||
|2013||32||23||(6 voluntary withdrawals; 3 dismissals)||72%|
|2014||31||23||(4 voluntary withdrawals; 4 dismissals)||74%|
|2015||31||22||(4 voluntary withdrawals; 5 dismissals)||71%|
|2016||31||23||(7 voluntary withdrawals; 1 dismissals)||74%|
|2017||31||22||(4 voluntary withdrawals; 5 dismissals)||71%|
|5-Year Average: 72%|
ARRT Exam Pass Rate
The ARRT exam pass rate is the number of graduates that pass the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification examination on the first attempt within six months of graduation.
|Year||# graduates that took Exam||# that passed on 1st attempt||% Passing|
|5-Year Average: 98%|
Job Placement Rate
The job placement rate is the number of graduates employed in the radiologic sciences, within twelve months of graduation, compared to the number of graduates actively seeking employment in the radiologic sciences. The JRCERT has defined not actively seeking employment as: 1) graduate fails to communicate with program officials regarding employment status after multiple attempts, 2) graduate is unwilling to seek employment that requires relocation, 3) graduate is unwilling to accept employment due to salary or hours, 4) graduate is on active military duty, and/or 5) graduate is continuing education.
|Year||# graduates that actively sought employment||# of graduates that found employment within 12-months of graduation||% Employed|
|5-Year Average: 97%|
